ABOUT THE ORGANIZER

My name is Caitlyn Chisamore

Raise Resilience was born from a deep desire to nurture and cultivate a connected world for families to thrive. Inspired by my personal motherhood journey, I curated this event with mothers in mind, choosing leaders who influenced my experience and who are making an impact around the globe.

As much as I love being a mother, the passage into parenthood surprised me. I was deeply impacted by the polarities of motherhood.  I felt consumed by the physical, emotional and psychological fluctuations of postpartum– including depression, anxiety and overwhelming fatigue. While I thought I had prepared, I was left depleted and searching for answers.

The language, knowledge and wisdom of these speakers resonated with my soul and experience. The proverb “It takes a village to raise a child” is true, but it also takes a village to raise a parent. Parents are the foundation of human life, and have a significant impact on the wellbeing of their children across the lifespan. If we can support parents, especially in the early years of parenthood, we are supporting the health of future generations and communities.

May this series and community offer you hope, lightness of being, and a comforting sense that you are not alone.
